We just wrapped up two days at Soundhouse Studios, where we finished up the bass and drum tracks for the follow up to our self-titled EP. The first two days were long and tiring, but it all went really smoothly for only having two days to finish those parts up for the six songs we’re doing for the new record with Zach Reinig.
Being trapped inside a studio hearing playbacks of parts you screwed up, being under a microscope like that and waiting around for your next turn to do something gives you cabin fever, but now we have a week or so out of the studio, until we meet back up at Chroma Sound to do guitar, vocals and mixing. Shit. We’re not out of the woods.
We’re going to be posting stuff for you as we go, so anyone interested can kind of get an idea of the process. It’s work, it smells bad usually in the studios (because of pizzas five guys and one bathroom etc…stuff like that) and the downtime in between takes can produce some really weird shit, so….
…good thing there’s cameras and the internet.
Ryan also falls asleep a lot, and that’s always fun.

Nice work!!
